Any walking organisation, however large or well-established, is only as good as its walk leaders. Most international walking groups rely on training, good mentoring of leaders, and fixed walking plans. What they do not have is permanent leaders who are both experienced and based in the walking location.
Cyprus Walking Friends is a small organisation. We have three experienced walk leaders with all the leadership, organisation, and emergency management skills you expect on a well-planned trip. We are unique because we have over 30 years experience of walking the largely unmarked tracks, trails, and donkey paths of Cyprus. We live here, and we understand the essence of the place, its seasons, geology, natural life, history, and people.
